Ryan Houghton
Background
Ryan started Mr Ryan’s tutoring back in 2022 before then he was a student at the University of West London and completed a degree in Cyber Security. While studying at University he had a part time job working at an after school club and even ran his own clubs he gained over 5 years of experience working with young people through this and this led to him creating Mr Ryan’s tutoring as he realised he enjoyed helping young people achieve there potential.

Barry Kurdi
Background
Barry has been working for Mr Ryan’s tutoring since November 2024. He has a lot of prior experience working with SEN children. He has grown from strength to strength over the past year and has achieved excellent SATS results. He currently tutors primary school students from reception to year 6 particularly students who are SEN but can teach maths up to key stage 3 level (Year 9).

Johnny Golding Wood
Background
Johnny joined Mr Ryan’s tutoring in February 2026. However he also works with First class tutoring in Chiswick and has been doing so for several months. He often conducts group sessions there and teaches both maths and English from reception level all the way to GCSE level. He is now bringing those skills over to Mr Ryan’s tutoring also to help our students achieve the best possible results !

Arif Rahman
Background
Arif joined the Mr Ryan’s tutoring team back in November 2023 and has been a member of the team ever since. He currently teaches Primary school pupils English and Maths including year 6 SATS. All of his pupils have achieved excellent results in there SATS with a 100% pass rate! Currently Arif runs tutoring sessions online.

Alex Kennedy Wood
Background
Alex is our newest addition to the Mr Ryan’s tutoring team who started in October 2025. The unique thing about Alex’s background is the fact that in 2024 and 2025 he was a former pupil of Mr Ryan’s tutoring and was able to achieve above his target grades in both English and Math’s. He enjoyed the sessions so much and gained a lot from them that he decided that he wanted to join the Mr Ryan’s tutoring team. He now tutors primary school students in maths including year 6 for SAT’S.

Areej
Background
Areej is the newest member of the Mr Ryan’s tutoring team and brings with her nearly 2 years of tutoring experience in GCSE English language and literature. She has very strong knowledge of all the texts, structure and language techniques your child will need to excel in English !

Jessica Junior
Background
Jessica has spent a lot of time volunteering including in tutoring. She is a top grade student in both English and Maths and is bringing those skills to Mr Ryan’s tutoring. Jessica during her sessions focuses on exam technique ensuring that her students are exam ready.

Abbi Green
Background
Abbi is currently training to be a teacher she has just finished her teaching placement at university. She is now bringing her teaching skills she as acquired to Mr Ryan’s tutoring. Abbi mainly teaches at primary school level but does offer tutoring sessions in maths up to GCSE level.
